Design in Advertising

BA degree holders in Design in Advertising make use of artistic design in commercials, and other advertisements, in panels, billboards, trade signs, exhibition stands and pavilions, trade and industrial exhibitions, world, national and local exhibitions, museums and galleries, posters, leaflets, brochures, catalogues, and in the accompanying trademarks and fonts. BA holders acquire in-depth knowledge of the basic principles and norms of each of the mandatory subjects in advertising: drawing, painting, sculpture, history of arts, aesthetics, philosophy, foreign languages, pedagogy, psychology, and in specific disciplines such as 3D design, graphic design, computer design, exhibition structure, perspective, architecture, techniques and technologies, techniques of light, combination of elements, study of color , museum display.BA artists are expected to be capable of professional interpretation of the design in advertising, to solve any practical task of subject and/or lay out according to art managers’ ideas reflecting the advertising policy of those who have commissioned the advertisement.MA artists should be capable of developing projects and concepts of corporate advertising policy, thematic plans, exhibition designs, products, actions or campaigns.

MA artists should be able to develop a long-term, comprehensive and complex concepts, and projects for corporate advertising. In brief, they should be skillful in design for all-purpose advertising. MA holders can be art managers, art directors, heads of advertising departments of advertising and design offices, agencies and companies. They can also set up their own advertising offices, agencies and companies, and to become civil servants with the formal state register. They are entitled to teaching in higher schools.
